A productive manufacturing project begins before the first sample. The quality of the early decisions affects the clarity, speed and commercial fit of everything that follows.
Define the person and the moment
Describe who will use the product and when. A primer for humid climates, a quick weekday liner and a high-impact festival shadow lead to very different texture, wear and packaging choices.
Describe performance in observable terms
Replace broad words such as premium or long-lasting with a practical result: a velvet-matte finish, a fine controlled line, buildable coverage or comfortable shine. References are helpful when you also explain what you want to keep or change.
Separate requirements from preferences
Mark non-negotiable needs such as format, regulatory market or target cost. Keep shade ideas, decorative details and secondary features in a separate preference list so the development team knows where flexibility exists.
Include the commercial frame
Quantities, target price, launch date, markets and distribution channel affect the feasible path. Sharing these early helps the manufacturer recommend a realistic formula, package and approval sequence.
